*A great Free anti-virus- AVG (there is a pay version, but the free version works well.) Remember, you can have the best anti-virus in the world, and if you tell the computer to download a virus... it will. For best results, practice safe browsing habits.
Another great Free anti-virus - Antivir (again, there is a pay version. buy it if you like but the free version works great.
*Malwarebytes is a great Adware/Spyware Malware removal program. Careful to select the correct download link!
*Spybot Search & Destroy program that complements the one above. PLEASE be careful about downloading. When you are directed to another page, you will see another "download now" button wanting you to click it. Your download should have already been prompted after clicking the download button on the first page of this link. You may have to right click on the yellow bar at the top of your browser to start downloads.
*SuperAntiSpyware - this is a highly rated and another effective removal tool
*Office Productivity Package; This program is compatible with Microsoft Office. It makes and opens Microsoft Office files. You can default the save as to MS Office by going to "Tools" then "Options".

Access your computer from anywhere. There is a pay version that gives you a bit more functionality, but the free version can be extremely useful
Create .pdf files (Adobe Acrobat) FREE; many companies think they need to buy $600 professional software to accomplish this. Never send a document, send a .pdf file that cannot be changed by the recipient. Again, there is a pay version - locate the FREE version (not trial).
